PAIR RELEASED PENDING FURTHER PROBE

The brother and sister arrested in St. Paul on suspicion of helping Joshua Martin flee a manhunt were released from jail Tuesday as authorities continue to investigate their actions, the Ramsey County attorney's office said.

According to police:

James Irvin Lentz, 21, of St. Paul, was arrested Sunday. Investigators were told that he provided transportation to Martin after the fatal shooting of Maplewood police Sgt. Joseph Bergeron on Saturday and "did so with knowledge of at least some of the circumstances" of what Martin had done.

Angelina Elizabeth Koepke, 23, of St. Paul, was arrested Monday. Investigators believe that she knew of Martin's role in the killing and failed to disclose that information to authorities in an interview.

"Charging decisions in their cases will be made when we have all the facts," County Attorney Susan Gaertner said.
