Nine days ago, Sasha Houston Brown of Minneapolis posted an open online letter to Urban Outfitters, asking that the national fashion retailer remove the trademarked "Navajo" name from a line of products that she found offensive.

The letter was reposted on many other sites, and many major news organizations reported on it.

On Wednesday, the products have been renamed on the Urban Outfitters website, notes the blog Indian Country.

The "Navajo hipster panty" is now "Printed hipster panty," and the "Navajo Printed Fabric Wrapped Flask" is now simply "Printed Fabric Wrapped Flask."

Indian Country suggests that the panty could be named "Righteous Undergarment of Cultural Victory."

The Star Tribune has asked Urban Outfitters for comment.
