“I could just stay here all day,” said the woman standing next to me. I took a few photos of a display featuring two of Taylor Swift’s sparkling concert dresses and e-mailed them to my 14-year-old daughter. There’s something for everybody here.

It’s no surprise that the average museum visit is four hours, which is about how long I stayed, reluctantly leaving for another engagement.

“We don’t handcuff ’em,” Ulrich joked. “They just stay.”

And, if they’re anything like me, they’ll return as quickly as possible.
