At Anchor Fish & Chips, the fryer does fantastic things to wild Alaskan cod and hand-cut potatoes till midnight Wednesday and Thursday, and till 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday (kitchen closes at 11 p.m. Tuesday and Sunday). The shepherd's pie and the mushy peas are pretty special, too.

Carb-load your way through chef Isaac Becker's expansive and exceptional pasta-centric menu at Bar La Grassa, served to midnight Monday through Thursday, and to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday (kitchen closes at 10 p.m. Sunday). Do not miss the gnocchi with cauliflower and orange.

An ever-changing variety of inexpensive slices (barbecued chicken and pineapple, grilled zucchini-pepper-eggplant, Yukon gold potatoes with three cheeses) keeps coming out of the oven at Mesa Pizza until 2:30 a.m. Monday through Wednesday, 3 a.m. Thursday through Saturday and midnight on Sunday.
