The Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is offering two escapes this winter.

"Ladies Evening" features live music by the BZ Girls, three fashion shows and a marketplace of jewelry, home decor and artwork by local vendors, from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday. Wine and appetizers are available to buy. Tickets are $10, which includes the gate fee. To register, go to www.arboretum.umn.edu/ladiesevening.aspx or call 952-443-1422.

The Arb's Oswald Visitor Center has been transformed into a magical fairyland. "Tiny Treasures: Fairies & Gnomes" is a collection of fantasy vignettes of teeny gardens, water features, bridges and fairy figurines hiding under foliage. Fairy-time stories are at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on the weekends. The exhibit continues through March 4. Arboretum admission is $9; free for ages 15 and under.
