Considering a career change? Here are some tips.

Gaye Lindfors, owner and CSO (chief solutions officer) of Significant Solutions Inc., offers these tips to people considering a shift to a passion-fueled career:

• Don't worry about whether you think it will work. Don't worry about making money. It's too early to attach those filters.

• Try to determine what you'd like most about the new career, then do some research to make sure you'd actually be doing that.

• Before jumping into anything or investing a lot of money, talk to people whose advice you respect. Listen to the questions they ask. Look for the wisdom they bring. It could be a former boss, someone in the industry or someone you trust who has no stake in the game.
