Gettin' buggy

This summer, the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum is home not only to breathtaking botanical beauty, but enormous insects. The creepy crawlers were sculpted from the imagination of David Rogers for the "Big Bugs" exhibit. Guests can expect to see a 1,000-pound praying mantis with an impressive 17-foot wingspan, a spider, Daddy Longlegs and more, as much as 10 feet high. The sculptures are placed throughout the grounds. While you're there, also check out "Savage Gardens," where guests can explore carnivorous plants. The four large exhibits feature hundreds of live plants and interactive displays. (8 a.m.-8 p.m. daily. $12 ages 13 and up. 3675 Arboretum Dr., Chaska. arboretum.umn.edu)
