'will you still love me, tomorrow'

World premiere: Red Eye will stage this new play by young Twin Cities-based playwright Katharine Sherman. Violence plagues a city and the residents turn on each other when they learn that the predator is someone like them. The script, which was created in collaboration with the director and cast, reportedly draws on crime narratives and gruesome fairy tales. There is a live soundscape, with choreography and projections. Steve Busa directs a cast that includes Katie Kaufmann, Kevin McLaughlin and Miriam Must. (Preview 8 p.m. Fri., opens 8 p.m. Sat. Ends April 26; Red Eye, 15 W. 14th St., Mpls.; $15-$25, 612-870-0309 or redeyetheater.org)

'Crime And Punishment'

Coming back: Live Action leads a co-production that includes Dangerous Productions, the Soap Factory and more than 40 artists. The experience was a big hit at last summer's Minnesota Fringe Festival. That version felt like an art installation. Audiences walked through hallways in the Soap Factory basement and then came upon elaborately detailed rooms with actors playing out a scene inspired by the Dostoevski novel — sort of like a live diorama. Lots of action chasing around the halls as actors move from room to room. Oh, and each spectator must wear a light, plastic mask. The shortish piece is directed by Live Action Set's Noah Bremer and Tyler Olsen and Joanna Harmon. (7 & 8:30 p.m. Fri.-Sat., 7 p.m. Sun., 7 & 8:30 p.m. Thu. Ends April 27; Soap Factory, 514 SE. 2nd St., Mpls.; $25-$100, liveactionset.org)G.R.
