Opening

The Guthrie is giving the youngsters a chance with this old farce by Brandon Thomas. Two Oxford undergrads in need of a chaperone persuade their chum to dress up as a millionaire aunt. John Skelley, who played in "The Importance of Being Earnest" at the Guthrie and recently appeared in Torch Theater's "True West," gets the juicy role of Fancourt Babberly, who transforms himself into the buttoned-up aunt. Fellow Guthrie/University of Minnesota BFA program grads Matthew Amendt, Valeri Mudek and Ashley Montondo play key roles. Sally Wingert and Colin McPhillamy play the "mature" roles, and John Miller-Stephany directs.
