The Schubert Club has announced its 2014-15 season, with the International Artist Series at Ordway Center and the Music in the Park Series at Saint Anthony Park United Church of Christ.

The Ordway series opens Sept. 30 with the husband-wife team of baritone Nathan Gunn and pianist Julie Jordan Gunn. He performed for the Schubert’s 2004 Summer Song Festival. In September, he’ll sing a program of German and American art song.

Pianist Richard Goode will take the stage Nov. 11. A leading interpreter of Classical and Romantic eras, Goode last performed for the Schubert’s 1993 season.

Benjamin Grosvenor, a pianist who won the Keyboard Final of the 2004 BBC Young Musician Competition (when he was 11), will perform Feb. 24, 2015. This will be his Schubert debut, with a program including Rameau, Chopin and Franck.

Violinist Hilary Hahn, the internationally lauded artist who has won two Grammies and was the 2008 Classic FM/Gramophone Artist of the Year, will be in St. Paul on April 15. Hahn was in the Twin Cities in January in a program sponsored by the Schubert Club Mix and the SPCO’s Liquid Music initiative.

The International series concludes with mezzo soprano Joyce DiDonato and pianist David Zobel on May 19. DiDonato, winner of the 2010 Gramophone Artist award and a 2012 Grammy, makes her debut.

The Music in the Park Series starts with the Danish String Quartet on Oct. 12. The Miami String Quartet, along with familiar pianist Lydia Artymiw, will perform Oct. 26. The Ensemble Caprice is scheduled for Nov. 23. The Schubert Ensemble of London appears Feb. 15, 2015. The St. Lawrence String Quartet is here April 19 and the Assad Brothers guitar duo concludes the season on May 10.

The Schubert Club, which will be in its 132nd season, is Minnesota’s oldest arts organization. Information at 651-292-3268 or schubert.org.
