    Charlie Parr, the resonator-guitar-picking folk/blues stalwart, is promoting his latest effort, “Barnswallow,” with a two-night stand Friday and Saturday at the Cedar Cultural Center. Plus more local music news.

  • Dan Huiting worked on setting up lights recently at the TPT studios in downtown St. Paul. Huiting has almost singlehandedly made music videos relevant again for Minnesota bands, thanks to his viral clips for Bon Iver, P.O.S., Poliça, Trampled by Turtles, etc. He’s also director of photography at TPT, which launched a new music series with him at the helm, “Lowertown Line.”
