Brad Pitt has donated $100,000 to the Human Rights Campaign, a national LGBT rights organization, to help defeat marriage amendments that exclude same-sex couples in four states that have ballot measures -- Minnesota, Maine, Maryland and Washington will each get $25,000.

“It's unbelievable to me that people's lives and relationships are literally being voted on in a matter of days,” Pitt wrote in an email today to HRC members. Pitt and Angelina Jolie have long been outspoken supporters of same-sex marriage equality.
