Kid Rock's concert on Sunday was my first visit to the revamped Mystic Lake Casino amphitheater. Essentially, there are about 25 percent fewer seats than in 2011, which was the first year. The sightlines and sound are still impressive, the crowd flow good.

But the seats and stage are temporary. Here's hoping that after additional amphitheater shows this summer by Sugarland, REO Speedwagon and Jeff Dunham, Mystic Lake will invest in permanent seating and stage.

In my review, I expounded on Kid Rock's many talents. But his 10-member Twisted Brown Trucker Band deserves props, too, especially powerhouse drummer Stefanie Eulinberg, versatile guitarist Marlon Young and soulful backup vocalist Jessica Wagner.

Here is Sunday's set list:
Devil without a Cause/ Rock Bottom Blues/ Forever/ Slow My Roll/ What I Learned Out on the Road/ I Got One for Ya/ Cowboy > Lay It On Me > Going Down/ God Bless Saturday/ Wasting Time/ Bleeping 40/ Picture (w Shannon Curfman)/ Three Sheets to the Wind/ So Hott/ Bawitdaba ENCORE All Summer Long/ Rock n Roll Jesus/ Only God Knows Why/ Born Free
