Minnesota Orchestra Hall will close in mid-June and officially beome a construction zone June 25. This video "fly-through" shows some of the changes to come, mostly in the building's lobby areas. The design is by Kuwabara Payne McKenna Blumberg Architects of Toronto.
The final Minnesota Orchestra concerts are June 14-15, when Osmo Vanska and othe conductors lead a mixed pops and classical programs. The annual Sommerfest series moves to Ted Mann Concert Hall at the University of Minnesota (July 13-28), and the 2012-13 orchestra season will take place at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
