Ticket info has not yet been released, but Wilco's many ga-ga Twin Cities fans are already lighting up with the band's early Christmas present to them: another pair of local dates, this time at the State Theatre, Dec. 6-7. Stay tuned to the Wilco site for pre-sale announcements.

Jeff Tweedy & Co. are issuing their eighth studio album, "The Whole Love," on Sept. 20 (same day Tweedy's Golden Smog pals the Jayhawks are issuing theirs; a little thunder stolen?). The bouncy first single, "I Might," is already in steady rotation at the Current, and glimpses of other tracks are starting to trickle out onto the web, including this sweet performance at Spin.com.

The band also posted this very-cool new promo video featuring the grinding track "Almost."
