Leighton Meester sang in "Country Strong"

She danced with Prince in NYC

If anyone at Lauryn Hill's historic concert Tuesday at First Avenue in Minneapolis was looking around for Prince, they were wasting their time.

First, Prince was performing Tuesday at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Second, he already saw Ms. Hill in concert last month in NYC.

As part of his Welcome 2 America Tour, Prince played the Garden in December and he returned there Tuesday for a 29-song concert. He offered a generous helping of hits as well as covers of Sarah McLachlan's "Angel," the Time's "Cool" and Sylvester's "Dance (Disco Heat)." Sharon Jones, who opened the show with her Dap-Kings, joined Prince for "A Love Bizarre," singing the part that Sheila E had on the original recording.

Prince sang "I Love U, But I Don't Trust U Anymore" to Leighton Meester of "Gossip Girl" and the new movie "Country Strong" (in which she sings). Meester and Jimmy Fallon joined Prince onstage to party to "Dance (Disco Heat)," during the third of four encores.

The only other announced show on Prince's tour is Feb. 7 at Madison Square Garden.
