Minnesota Poll results: Target data breach

The Star Tribune Minnesota Poll surveyed 800 Minnesota adults Feb. 10-12, 2014. Respondents were reached on both landlines and cell phones. The poll has a margin of sampling error of 3.5 percentage points, plus or minus.

QUESTION: Target says it waited four days to reveal its recent data breach to the public because it had to make sure its data system was secure again and prepare to handle inquiries from customers. Do you accept Target's explanation or do you think Target was slow to announce the news?
