Most Loved …

On Aug. 1, the Minnesota company that had the best overall rating from analysts was Deluxe Corp., which had four ‘‘buy’’ recommendations. It was followed by UnitedHealth Group, which according to Bloomberg had 22 ‘‘buy’’ recommendations, two ‘‘holds’’ and one ‘‘sell.’’

... and least loved

The companies getting the least amount of love from analysts were Edina-based hair salon company Regis Corp. with just one ‘‘buy’’ and four ‘‘holds’’ and Donaldson Co. Inc., which had two ‘‘buys’’ and 11 ‘‘holds’’ and one ‘‘sell.’’ An analyst at BMO Capital recently cut his recommendation on Donaldson, a Bloomington maker of industrial filters, from ‘‘market perform’’ to ‘‘underperform.’’

bigger orders for Datalink

Needham analyst Glenn Hanus reiterated his ‘‘buy’’ rating on Eden Prairie-based Datalink Corp. after the data center firm reported better-than-expected second-quarter results on July 25.

Hanus likes how the company has transformed into a faster-growing data-center solutions integrator. The strategy means that customers are placing bigger orders so Datalink “is driving greater wallet share in its mostly repeat customer base,” Hanus said.
