• Northwest's frequent flier program will likely be folded into Delta's if the merger is approved.
• Regular Northwest passengers would gain greater access to European destinations through Delta, while Delta passengers would find it easier to travel to Asia via Northwest's routes.

I still think the only way this merger makes any sense for MSP travelers is if the MAC uses this merger as an opportunity to open new gates … read more to competitors. It would also prove that the MAC isn't in NW-Delta's back pocket. ... and then I woke up from my fancy dream.
