DR. STEPHEN OESTERLE'S CAREER TIMELINE

1973: Summa cum laude graduate of Harvard University.

1977: M.D. from Yale University School of Medicine.

1986-1991: Developed interventional cardiology programs at Good Samaritan Hospital, Los Angeles.

1991-92: Georgetown University, where he developed cardiology programs.

1992-1998: Stanford University, where he developed University Medical Center's first endovascular device laboratory.

1998-2001: Associate professor of medicine at Harvard University Medical School and director of invasive cardiology services at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston.

2002-present: Senior vice president for medicine and technology, Medtronic.
