Pawlenty: Democrats' health care ideas would "trample on the rights of states"

Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty joined his fellow Republican governors today at a news conference about the Democrats' health reform plans. No big surprise, Pawlenty and the others at the Republican Governors Association meeting in Texas don't much like it.
From the New York Times:
Gov. Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota, who is considering a run for the presidency in 2012, said he agreed that there was a need to revamp the health care system, but the ideas being proposed in Washington would “trample on the rights of states.”
“We’re concerned about the federal government overreaching,” he said. “They put in these bills mandates that are going to drive up the costs for states.”
Note the Pawlenty identifier. He is, says the Times, considering a run for the presidency in 2012. That's stronger than Pawlenty himself often puts it but Pawlenty certainly acted like a man strongly considering a run.
