You still have a few hours to get your application in to serve on a community working group to help plan the Brooklyn Boulevard station on the proposed Bottineau Light Rail project.

Applicants must be residents of Brooklyn Park or business or property owners in the city. The deadline is Monday.

The Brooklyn Boulevard Community Working Group will meet monthly for about three to four months to craft plans to build a transit service and station area that tends to the area's needs adn preferences, and resembles the unique an culturally diverse area of Brooklyn Park, a news release from the city said.

The group would supply Hennepin County with insight on transportation, urban design, land use and public infrastructure that would improve neighborhood near the proposed station at West Broadway and Brooklyn Boulevard.
