One of Jester Concepts' Uptown projects has changed names and transitioned its identity from French bistro to Mexican taco emporium — and now a Twin Cities craft syrups company is involved

The annual awards, the so-called "Oscars of the food world," recognize and celebrate excellence across 21 chef- and restaurant-related categories. The category that garnered the most local names? Best Chef: Midwest.
"It's going to be a neighborhood restaurant for downtown," chef Mike Rakun said. "I love downtown, and I want to make it a restaurant where I'd want to go."
