Former City Council Member Sandra Colvin Roy's condition is still listed as critical after she was struck Monday by a school bus, but she's also described as stable and improving.

That update comes from neighbor Carol Kummer, a longtime friend and political ally of Colvin Roy. She said via e-mail that it's likely to take four to six days for Colvin Roy to show significant improvement. Colvin Roy is at Hennepin County Medical Center.

"I think this will be a long recovery," Kummer wrote.
