Gordon, Sally If you were lucky enough to know Sally Gordon, age 73, of Minnetonka, your life was infinitely better. She was often referred to as the Queen Bee and was frequently adorned in her husband, Gallen Benson's, bee jewelry. She lit up every room with her presence - a matchmaker, not just in love, but in people. She forged friendships across all demographics and taught others to find value in the same. She was the family's matriarch and had more friends than all other family members because, well, if you knew her, you know why. She was an artist, an interior decorator, a cook, an avid reader, a dissectologist (someone who likes doing puzzles), a Scrabble player, and a cheese connoisseur. She was the most selfless and attentive mother, wife, and friend. Preceded in death by parents, Nancy and Sewell Gordon. Survived by husband, Gallen Benson; daughters, Nell Benson (Sascha Plouffe) and Lilly Mercer (Haven Mercer); grandson, Grey Mercer; brother, Tom Gordon (Lisa Kalfas); and many nieces, cousins, countless friends, and extended family. Join us in celebrating her life on FRIDAY, May 31st from 1:00-5:00 pm at the American Swedish Institute, 2600 Park Ave, Minneapolis. The service starts promptly at 1:00 pm, followed by a celebration of her life because Sally knew how to dance and party with the best of them. The service will be live-streamed. In lieu of flowers, please send donations directly to Highpoint Center for Printmaking, where she printed her amazing lithographs, located at 912 West Lake Street, Minneapolis, MN 55408, 612-871-1326, info@highpointprintmaking.org Hodroff-Epstein 612-871-1234 hodroffepstein.com
