Millard, Dr. George B. passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on May 7th. The second eldest of three children of Glen E. Millard and Josephine B. Millard, he was a graduate of St. Paul Academy, Brown University and received his PhD in Business Management from the University of Minnesota in 1968. In 1954 he married Patricia Murphy Millard and they lived an adventurous and fulfilling life together spanning over 50 years. From 1969 - 1972 George served as Director in the Peace Corps in Peru and Uruguay. Upon returning to the Twin Cities George and Patty started an import business bringing in artisan goods from South America. They had a store called Llama Line on Grand Avenue in St. Paul and a 2nd in the Galleria Edina. For many years after that George taught Business Administration at the University of St. Thomas and consulted on small business development programs for the United Nations and USAID in countries around the world always returning with amazing stories. George's eccentric sense of humor, intelligence and love of nature will be missed by his three surviving children, his five grandchildren, his sister, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Time and date of funeral services to be announced.
