Kim Margaret Pavlik, 66, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2024, at the University of Minnesota, Medical Heath Hospital. She was born May 28, 1957, in Bethpage, NY. She spent her childhood growing up in Skaneateles, NY and graduated from Skaneateles High School as salutatorian in 1975. Kim attended Macalester College in St Paul and majored in French. She received a Master of Arts in French from Cornell University and taught there. She completed a Masters of Social Work at the University of Minnesota, and went on to get her LICSW License which allowed her to practice as an independent clinical social worker. She retired from the VA Medical Center in 2019. Kim loved St Paul and lived her adult life there. She was constantly surrounded by and traveling with her longtime friends and their partners; Diane Hron, Susan Banal, Amy Hasbargen, Vickie Benson, Janet Freid, Denise Farr, and many others. She was predeceased by her parents, Franklyn Edward Pavlik and Margaret Elizabeth Pavlik. Surviving are her sisters Pamela Frisch of Fayetteville, NY and Christie Rosenberg (Ralph) of New Milford, NJ, a nephew Alex Rosenberg Frøhlich and Chris Frøhlich of Tromso, Norway, and a niece, Katherine Rosenberg of NYC, NY. There will be no calling hours or services. The burial will be private. Donations in Kim's name can be made to the American Lung Association or St Croix Hospice of St Paul.
