Ryan, Constance Louise Connie, 92, died peacefully April 25 at Pillars of Prospect Park in Minneapolis. She was born in Minneapolis to Albert and Emma Maiser and grew up in Waconia, Minnesota. She graduated from the University of Minnesota and married James Ryan in 1955. She was predeceased by her husband Jim, her parents and her sisters, Beatrice Seltz, Virginia Kunze, Carol York, and her nephew Steve York. She is survived by nieces Beth Janssen, Barb Mazurek, Susan Schweigert, and Sharon Rivi, and nephews John and David Seltz and Kenneth and Kurt Kunze. Connie and Jim were both elementary school teachers in the Minneapolis school system. They retired early to spend winters out west skiing and to enjoy days together at their remote summer home on an island near Voyageurs Park. Connie was a gracious host and they entertained friends and family at their home and on the island. A gathering of friends and family will be held Sunday, June 23, 2PM at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 7110 France Avenue South, Edina. Memorials should go to Our Lady of Peace Hospice or a dementia charity.
