Faiella, Diana Kay 08/22/1942-12/25/23 Diana was born & raised in Minneapolis, MN. She lived and raised her family on Fremont Street in South Minneapolis near the chain of lakes. Diana was a homemaker in her first marriage eventually forging a career in liberal activism working for the MN Tenants Union and as a social worker for Lutheran Social Services where she eventually retired after 25 years. Her work in liberal activism and social services demonstrates her commitment to helping others and making a difference in the world. The last 6 years of her life she lived with daughter Stephanie in Southern California until her passing in a care home on Christmas day, 2023 at the age of 81. She is survived by her children, Corey Boeck, Lenne Anastasia Faiella, Stephanie Alexandria Faiella, brother Peter G. Tarasar , sister Catherine Tarasar, son-in-law Andre Rothblatt & cousin Carol Leonerd. Diana is preceded in death by her parents Mary and Peter Tarasar, husband William K. Hill of 33 years & 1st husband Jerry Faiella. Diana had a bigger than life personality and possessed the gift of storytelling that could evoke laugher & tears in equal measure. Her happy place was at the Lake House that she and husband Kirk built from the ground up, where she would garden, swim in the lake and cross-country ski in the winters. She was an avid reader and animal lover who enjoyed the outdoors & nature. Diana lived life on her terms and had a big impact on those around and who knew her. She will be sorely missed; may her memory be a blessing.
