David Jensen Dwyer, age 55, of Plymouth, MN passed away on April 19, 2024 after living fully and courageously with cancer for two years. Born May 11, 1968 to Michael and Barbara Dwyer, David grew up the middle of five children in Southwest Minneapolis. He attended Annunciation Grade School, St. Thomas Academy High School, and the University of Minnesota. David grew up with a passion for family, the outdoors, sports, and great friendships. He loved sailing Lake Harriet, fishing Lake Winnibigoshish, camping the BWCA and was an Eagle Scout. He was a forever fan of the Vikings, Twins and Gophers. David and Angie Reynolds met at the Calhoun Beach Club, where Angie worked and David claimed to work-out. They married in 2000 and have three wonderful children in Jacob (22), Mikayla (19) and Trey (16). David adored his family and was a great Dad. He was loving, funny, a teacher, great on the grill, and a dedicated coach to the kids and their teammates. Jacob writes, "We could not have asked for a better, more hardworking and devoted father who reminded us daily how much he loved us." David was generous in time and spirit with his friends as well. Dubble D was everyone's brother. He was endearing and genuine with no pretense. He was always happy for your win. He had an amazing smile and twinkle in his eye. A student of life and history, David wrote Unholy Choices, a World War II novel. He worked much of his career managing car wash locations for the WAVE and then MISTER. He loved the business and many great friendships made along the way. David was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara and Michael. He is survived by Angie and their children, Jake, Mikayla and Trey; siblings Mark, Tim (Nicole), Wendy Bagley (Lester) and Steven (Erika); and nieces and nephews Natalie, Michael, Charlie, Luke, Jack, Will, Addi, Tommy and James. Funeral mass will be held at 2:00 pm on May 9, 2024 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in New Hope / Plymouth. A celebration will be held that evening with time and place TBD.
