Richard "Dick" Anderson, age 91, born in LaCrosse, WI Jan. 18, 1933. Passed away in Lakeville, MN Mar. 15, 2024. Preceded in death by his wife Mary Lou, son Jerry, and 3 siblings Donald, Howard, Beverly. He is survived by his brother Robert (Phyllis), 3 children Barbara (Paul), Nancy (Russ), Dennis; 5 grandchildren Staci (Jason), Josh (Maddie), Dan (Michaela), Jennifer, Jessica; 6 great-grandchildren Owen, Kenna, Etta Lou, Oliva, Brooke, Harrison. Richard will be interred along with his wife in Palm Desert, CA. Richard's family moved from La Crosse to Mpls in 1934, where he was raised. He gained a passion for cars at a very young age which stayed with him all throughout his life. He graduated from Central High in 1952. He married his high school sweetheart Mary Lou Paul also from Central High, in 1953. He then went into the Army and was stationed in Germany for 2 years, where his wife joined him. When they returned to Mpls, they had 5 children, moved to Bloomington and then moved the family to Huntington Beach, CA in 1973. He worked in the glass and mirror trade and eventually owned his own company (Specialty Glass & Mirror) for 15 yrs. After retirement he and Lou traveled quite often before moving to Palm Desert CA in 2002. He was active playing golf, bocce and shared a love of dancing with his wife, who passed in 2014. He lived there until 2018, moved back to Mn and settled in Lakeville near his family. He enjoyed many funfilled years with them until his passing. He was well liked by many neighbors friends and relatives. Most saying his smile was contagious, he had a great sense of humor and was an all around likeable person, always willing to talk, teach, and help where and whenever he could... He will be greatly missed by so many who knew and loved him. Upcoming Celebration of Life on April 12, at Bonus Room in Lakeville from 3-8 pm. Eulogy at 6 pm.
