Olson, Jerrald Bernard Jerry passed to eternal life at the age of 84 on March 10, 2023. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Frances Olson. Jerry is survived by his wife of 57 years, the former Carmen Landry, son Marc B. (Laurie) Olson, daughter Anne-Marie (John) Eichhorn, five grandchildren, Cameron, Leah and Thomas Olson, and Jordan and Tyler Eichhorn, two brothers, Arlyn (Lynne) and Dallas (Diana), one sister, Audrey (Ed), and many nieces and nephews. Jerry was born and raised in Buffalo Center, Iowa. Jerry enlisted and served in the U.S. Navy. After a time at Luther College, he transferred to the University of Minnesota where he received his M.A. degree majoring in Architecture. He worked as a principal architect at Hammel, Green and Abrahamson (HGA) retiring in May 2004. Jerry and his wife lived in Minneapolis, St. Paul and Edina prior to moving to the Charter House in Rochester, Minnesota. He enjoyed sailing, traveling to exotic destinations, and having lunch with other retired architects and engineers. A funeral mass will be held at 11 am on Friday, June 23 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in Minneapolis, followed by interment of Jerry's ashes in the Church's peace garden and then a lunch in the Church. All are welcome to stay for the luncheon. Memorials in Jerry's name may be made to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and to the University of Minnesota School of Architecture.
