Bolan, Richard S. passed away on March 28, 2023, age 95. Born in Salem, MA, resided in Massachusetts (except for service in the US Air Force, 1945- 47) until 1985, when Dick moved to Minnesota to join the faculty of the U of MN Humphrey School of Public Affairs and Planning. Graduated from Yale University (1954), earned a M.C.P. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a PhD from New York University and worked for the Joint Center for Urban Studies of MIT and Harvard University. After 10 years as a practitioner, Dick joined the faculty of Boston College where he taught until moving to Minnesota. Survived by his wife, Nancy Johnston; sons, Geoffrey Bolan (Deborah), Alex Wilson (Jeanne Finley); daughters, Rosalind Elstrom, Margaret Wilson (Joseph Gray); 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
