Stifter, Adele Zita Saltarrelli slipped away on a ray of sunshine between snowstorms at 11:17am on November 17, 2022 with family at her bedside. She was born on October 3, 1932 and had just celebrated her 90th birthday. Adele is the daughter of Joseph and Theodora Saltarelli and sister of Delores Saltarelli Tracy Morrison; all of whom preceded her in death. She is survived by her former husband Tony Stifter and four children; Catherine Stifter (and her spouse Christina Myers) Elizabeth Stifter, Mark Stifter (and his wife Joan) and Carolyn Blake (and her husband Chris). Adele has three grandchildren, Chris, Eric and Anna Stifter, all of whom are Mark's children. Adele was a Registered Nurse and homemaker, known for her Southern accent, sweet smile and buoyant nature. Our mom loved music and art. She hosted the best parties and offered extraordinary community service. Adele believed in the power of prayer and a comfortable bed to lie down in. During the last months of her life, she lived at Heart to Home. The family is grateful for the loving caregivers who made all our lives better. A celebration of life is planned for Spring 2023. Adele was a nature lover. Tributes in her honor can be made to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.
