Edwards, Kim Beloved father, grandfather, partner, and outdoor expert Kim Edwards died Tuesday, August 23, 2022, at his home in Brooklyn Center, MN. Kim was born to Alfred and Edythe Edwards June 25, 1955, in Minneapolis, MN. He was a proud member of the Washburn High School class of 1973 before attending Augsburg College on a football scholarship. Kim spent more than 40 years in the banking industry, working first as an underwriter before moving into the mortgage business. During his career, he worked diligently to assist countless families achieve their dream of owning a home. Kim loved the sporting life and was an avid hunter and fisher. He loved his hunting dogs, German Wirehaired Pointers and had recently started his own dog training business as part of his retirement. He is survived by his partner Catherin Henne, daughter Kristin Edwards, son Kincaid Edwards, older sister Carolyn Anthony, grandson Kellen Wiese. Kim had many friends and touched many lives in his work and his outdoor passions. He was also a committed Rotarian. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Ron Edwards and brother Jerry Owens. A celebration of Kim's life will be held Friday, September 9th, 2022, at Estes Funeral Chapel, 2201 Plymouth Ave N, Minneapolis, MN 55411. Visitation starts at 10 am with a service following at 11 am. Graveside interment at Hillside Cemetery immediately following the service. An informal gathering for friends and family will to be held at Stanley's Northeast Bar, 2500 University Avenue NE Minneapolis, MN following interment.
