Link, Annette Cecelia (Amberg) of Bloomington, MN, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2022 at 94 years of age. Annette was born on April 27, 1928 in Bird Island, MN to Longin and Amanda (Schumer) Amberg. She loved her farm roots and spoke fondly about tending the fields and animals with her father. Annette met the love of her life, Ardwin (Ard) Link at a Catholic Mixer Dance. They married at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bird Island on October 13, 1951. Annette was a loving and caring wife to Ard for over 70 years, and together they raised six children. She had a way of making each of her children, their spouses, each grandchild, and a great grandchild, feel special and loved. Annette's gift of hospitality shone through the many holiday gatherings she hosted with her ready smile and gentle brown eyes. She showed great courage as she adapted to every phase of life. An active parishioner of St. Richards Catholic Church in Richfield, MN, Annette was involved in the church's guilds, and fundraising efforts. She was a firm advocate for Catholic education and was Treasurer of the Benilde-St. Margaret's Mothers Club. Annette is preceded in death by her husband Ardwin Link; parents Longin and Amanda (Schumer) Amberg; sister Eleanor Amberg, brother Richard Amberg and his wife Mary (Mahoney); and son-in- law Neil Patch. She is survived by her six children and their spouses: Thomas Link (Mary McLaughlin), Frederick Link, Brian Link (Holly), Deanne Patch, Gary Link (Maribeth), Teresa Binish (Joseph); grandchildren: Adam Link (Hana Main), Brittany Brown (Travis), Rachel Mattox (Spencer), Amanda Benedict (Logan), Stephen Link, Claire Binish, Shawn Patch, Patrick Binish, William Binish, Emma Link, and Ethan Link; and great grandson, Sam Link. Mass of Catholic Burial is Wednesday, August 31, 11:00 A.M. at the Church of St. Richard, 7540 Penn Ave. S., Richfield, with a reception to follow. Visitation prior at 10 A.M.
