Hinker, Edward Bradley 93, born 6-12-28 in Mitchell SD, passed away 5-29-22. Eldest son of Edward J and Carla Hinker. Ed was a musician & printer, Carla a school teacher. Preceded in death by sisters Janet (Stan) Skinner, Liz Miller and Mary (Del) Fischer, survived by Jay (:d Michelle). Graduate of Notre Dame HS (1946) in Mitchell SD and College of St Thomas (1953). Proudly served in 1st Cavalry Division in occupation of Japan (1946-1948). Became a CPA in 1963, partner of Robert G Engelhart & Co 1965-81, retired as a partner of Deloitte in 1985. Served on Healthcare Financial Management Assoc Board 1976-79, and AICPA committee on Health care 1977-80. He was an Eagle scout, making many trips to the BWCA, Black Hills and other wilderness areas throughout his life. He loved Dixieland jazz, traveling to New Orleans and various jazz festivals often, and had many musician friends. He was active in the catholic church and supported many church organizations. He was proud and humbled to be named an honorary Oblate by the Oblates of Mary Immaculate, an international order of priests with whom he had a long association. Brad is survived by his 3 children: David (Carla), Susan (Brad) Cell and Kathy (Gary) Grauer, 9 grandchildren, a great-grandson and great-granddaughter; 4 step-children: Joe Powers, Michele (Jim) Hart, Kelly (David) Golding, Mike (Lisa) Powers, 16 step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, light of his life and joy of his existence, Betty Lou (Boo). In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to St Joan of Arc Church in Minneapolis. Services at St Joan's June 17th, visitation at 10, service at 11. Private interment at Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights.
