Lynch, Chad Michael Age 50 of New York died May 2, 2022. Born in Edina, MN on May 14, 1971 to Jack and Dee Lynch. A nationally accomplished Technical Director, Chad trained at The North Carolina School of the Arts' Design & Production Department. His 28 year career included work on Broadway, feature films, cable TV, broadcast news, and countless regional dance and theater productions. He died unexpectedly, but peacefully in his sleep. His affable, kind, and inquisitive mind made Chad one of the most respected creative problem solvers in his field. His skill as an engineer with an artist's sensibility set him apart. Chad employed many of his Alma Mater at his shop HEYWOOD in the Red Hook neighborhood of Brooklyn, NY which served as a haven for veteran builders and a training ground for those starting out. He often donated his time and talent to non-profit theater projects. Chad had a thirst for helping others and thrived on that work. He was a kind man with a keen intellect and diverse artistic interests beloved by many. He is survived by his loving parents Jack and Dee. Brothers, John Lynch (Stacia) and Steve Lynch. Niece and nephews Jack Lynch, Katie Lynch and Joe Lynch. His numerous extended family and friends in the performing arts community. Support your local theater.
