Igoe, Anne Margaret Age 94, of Bloomington, died unexpectedly on Feb. 6, 2022. Anne is survived by her husband of 68 years, Bill, and five children: Tim, Dan (Mary), Mark, Margaret (Steve) LaFrance, Joe (Dawn); 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, and sisters Mary Neal and Kathleen Darling. Anne was born in Chicago on Oct. 31, 1927, to Edward and Margaret Higgins. She graduated from Forman High School. In 1945 she entered the Army Cadet Nurse Corps at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, IL, graduating in 1948. She moved to St. Paul and worked at Midway Hospital, rising to head nurse, until 1955. In 1952 she met Bill Igoe at a church dance. Bill said when they met, he quickly learned she was "witty, spunky, confident and Irish!" They were married in 1954 and raised their family in Richfield. She made many friends throughout her life, especially at Marsh Park and Gideon Pond. We will all miss this independent and extraordinary woman!
