Dunnigan, Ann Christine Age 72, of Afton, passed away on January 31, 2022, after a short illness. Ann was raised in Southern California and received a BA degree in Biology and French literature from UC San Diego, Revelle College. She attended Duke University School of Medicine, Alpha Omega Alpha, and MPH at UNC Chapel Hill. Ann did her Pediatric Residency at the Medical Center Hospital of Vermont and Bellevue New York University Hospital in Manhattan. She did a Fellowship in Pediatric Cardiology at Duke University and a Fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology training at the University of Minnesota. Ann started her long and productive career at the University of Minnesota in 1983, taking care of infants and children with heart rhythm problems. As time passed, these patients thrived under her care and grew to adulthood, relying on her expert level-headed approach to their heart conditions. Ann was a Professor of Pediatrics at the University of Minnesota Medical School. She was a Cardiac Electrophysiologist and Congenital Cardiologist. Over the past forty years, Ann worked at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, CentraCare, Gillette Children's Specialty Health-care, and outreach at clinics in Rapid City and Sioux Falls. Ann was still working when she fell ill. She was the consummate teacher and shared her knowledge throughout the years with medical students, residents, and cardiology fellows through lectures, clinics, and cauterization procedures. Ann loved what she did, loved her patients, and enjoyed working with her colleagues. Ann is survived by sisters Jane Green, Incline Village, NV, Susan Green, and brother-in-law Armand, Afton.
