Faber, Richard G. 62, of Minneapolis passed away on January 12, 2022. Born to Carol (Sutton) and John Faber in Chicago, IL, his family moved to Burnsville, MN when Rich was young. He graduated from Burnsville High School, Saint John's University (BS), and Notre Dame University (MBA) where he graduated with distinction. Rich was a gifted and passionate man. His intellect and work ethic led him to a career that allowed him to travel and work across the globe. Rich started his career at Cargill and proceeded to work for Carlson Marketing Group, Vision Ease Lens, RQR Partners and The Fenix Group. While working for Carlson, he had the opportunity to work in Sydney, Australia which deeply shaped him. Rich was awarded CFO of the Year in 2008 from the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal while working for Vision-Ease Lens. He leveraged his professional skill set to support philanthropic organizations he cared for, such as Saint Therese, where he served on the board. Always the athlete, Rich was an avid and skilled runner, completing 25 marathons over the course of his life. Additionally, he loved to ski and shared this joy with both of his children. Rich was skilled with the pen and often shared his experiences of the world with his friends and family through letters. Storytelling and teaching came naturally to him. Rich had a playful side which came out in his sense of humor and zest for life. Rich was a proud father to his children Danny and Brittany Faber (Zach Turman). Additionally, he is survived by the mother of his children Michelle Reber and his siblings Jay, Rob, Mary Lindell, and Mike Faber (Adrianne). A Celebration of Rich's life will be held on March 3, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Pax Christi Catholic Church in Eden Prairie. Visitation will begin at 9:30 AM. Masks required for visitation and service. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Saint Therese (sainttherese.org) or Bridging (bridging.org).
