Dahlberg, Betty Jayne Loving prayers and gratitude go with Betty Jayne Dahlberg who passed away on January 5, 2022. Wife, mother, homemaker, hostess, gardener, horticultural judge, arts lover and supporter Betty lived a vibrant and creative life, giving generously of herself and blessing many people, making the world a happier, more beautiful place. Betty was a native of Minneapolis and worked as an accountant before marrying husband, Kenneth H. Dahlberg, a WWII fighter pilot and local businessman. Together they raised a family, traveled the world and gave back through charity and philanthropy. Betty excelled as a fun and adventurous Mom, leading her children into camping, travel and the challenge of competitive sports. Additionally, Betty had a high artistic sense and a love of nature and flowers that she expressed through her home and gardens. Her home was a serene and beautiful oasis, and to walk through her orderly luxuriant gardens was to feel a touch of heaven. She often gave festive parties outside that were warm and magical. Her glowing energy and gracious hospitality brought much love and joy. In the community Betty was a longtime member of the Lake Minnetonka Garden Club and the Wayzata Garden Club and served on the boards of the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum and Courage Center. She was a horticultural judge for the Garden Club of America. The family would like to give a special thank you to Betty's nursing staff: Becky, Kelly, Connie, Nicole, Farrah and Deb for their loving care. Betty is preceded in death by her husband Ken and son K. Jeffrey Dahlberg. She is survived by daughters Nancy Dahlberg and Dede Disbrow. She has 7 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held in the spring. Further notice to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Courage Center, Salvation Army, Minnesota Landscape Arboretum or donor's choice.
