Daly, James A. Born April 10, 1934, died peacefully surrounded by family on January 1, 2022, at age 87. James (Jim) was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Dorothy Daly. Survived by brothers Robert (Bob) (Sylvia), Thomas (Tom) (Patricia), and William (Bill) (Eileen) Daly; daughters Theresa (Terry) Daly-Hanger (James Hanger) and Shawna Daly; and granddaughter Rachel Hanger. Formerly married to Etheldreda (Ethel) Daly and Susan Louk. Jim graduated from Marshall High School and the University of Minnesota. He was an active member of the Newman Club, Christ the King Church, and St. Joan of Arc Church where he was a long-time parishioner. He was politically active and helped with many democratic campaigns. He spent his life volunteering for the arts, sciences, nature-related organizations, social causes and cultural events. He was a long-time resident of Episcopal Homes in St. Paul. Jim was an avid outdoorsman enjoying camping, hunting and fishing. As an amateur photographer his photos were displayed in exhibitions. He enjoyed painting and woodcrafts. As a man of many interests, he was a teller of tall tales, and a fountain of knowledge for all. Memorial service will be on June 4 at St. Joan of Arc, Mpls.
