Salden, Patrick "Pat" J. age 82, of Mound passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Saturday, November 27, 2021. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church (2385 Commerce Blvd) in Mound, MN with Father Peter Richards as Celebrant of the Mass. Visitation held 1 hour prior to the Mass, at the church. Interment in Union Cemetery in Mound. Patrick "Pat" Joseph Salden was born March 18, 1939 in Minneapolis, MN the son of Raymond and Gertrude (Ebert) Salden. On July 11, 1964 Patrick was united in marriage to Marilyn "Jane" Krause at St. Boniface Catholic Church in St. Bonifacius, MN. Pat moved from Minneapolis to St. Bonifacius when he was 5 years old. After high school, Pat was an Army Company Clerk in Ft. Belvoir, VA. He worked for Graco Mfg. as a Manufacturing Engineer from 1963 1995. Following retirement, Pat performed maintenance at the Grandview Apartments in Mound. He was also a volunteer at the Gillespie Center and was a founding member of the Knights of Colombus Pat was a faithful parishioner and usher at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. He enjoyed traveling, which included several trips to Europe and most of the United States. Pat enjoyed fishing trips with his son and grandson, Max. He loved woodworking and being the handyman for all of his friends and neighbors. Pat passed away in the house that he built, 57 years ago. He will be dearly missed. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Gertrude Salden; sisters Dorothy Geyen, Barbara Swaningson; brother Ray Salden. Patrick is survived by his loving family: wife Jane; children Todd (Natalie) Salden of Minneapolis, Tim Salden of Champlin; grandchildren Hailey Salden, Max Salden; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
