Linman, Samantha Jocelyn age 43, of Eureka, CA, formerly of Wayzata, MN, passed away on November 18, 2021. She was too tired to fight another battle and died from, non-Covid, Pneumonia. Sam, Sammy, Sami, was a Cancer Warrior, beating Stage 4, Non-Hodgkin's B Large Cell Lymphoma, not once but twice! She was loving, caring, and welcoming to all. Sam was strong willed, sometimes to a fault, with a big personality and never shied away from being the center of attention. She never walked away from a fight and had to battle her way in life through illness and grief. From an early age Sam was very competitive. As a teenager she turned that drive into skill, playing on the Wayzata High School softball team. Sam enjoyed cooking, a good joke and listening to Jimmy Buffett always brought a smile to her face. She also loved to make pottery, animals, The MN Vikings, going to Mazatlan, escaping into the world of Harry Potter and nature. Sam's college career started at Humboldt State, amongst her two favorite things, the ocean and redwoods; this is also where she met the love of her life, Conor Maguire. She graduated from the U of MN with an Environmental Science degree. After years in MN she was able to get back to CA and Conor in 2019. These were undoubtedly the best two years of her life! Sam's spirit and intensity were unmatched and her passionate nature won't be forgotten. She will be missed by countless friends and family members. Samantha is preceded in death by her mother, Susan Linman. Survived by her father, Pudge Linman; sister, Ali (Brian) Barros; nieces, Josslyn, Averi, and Paige Barros; best friend, Molly Hegwood; and Love Conor Maguire. There's a new star out there, These days, A tad bit brighter, A tad bit sadder, We know it's you, We Know it's true, So many you had touched, So many who barely knew, It's ours to define, You'll always be lucky seven, The legacy, You found love you so well deserved, He's now part of us, Your legacy is secure. ~Dad A celebration of life is being planned for this spring in Key West at Margaritaville and Universal Studios Harry Potter World.
