Yanker, DelRay Estella (Thole) age 79 of Hastings MN, passed from this life into the next, suddenly on October 14th, 2021 in Minneapolis, MN. "Della," as she was also known by many, was born on June 8th, 1942 in St. Cloud, MN. Del will be sorely missed and dearly remembered by all who knew her. Over the years, she was a successful business owner with her husband, was an expert seamstress, loved gardening, decorating inside and out, was an excellent cook, and loved cribbage, and the daily crossword puzzle. Del had an infectious laugh and loved and lived for family gatherings, especially the holidays. Del was always there to help someone in need, be it a family member, friend, or neighbor. Del especially loved and took pride in her marriage of almost 45 years, her family, her beautiful home, and her little doggie Rufus.She was a wonderful, loving, devoted, wife, mother, grand/great grandmother, sister, auntie, niece, and friend. Del was preceded in death by her parents Alverna (Merrill) and Sylvester Thole, her mother and father in-law Jessie and Donald Yanker; brother Robert Thole; sisters Arlinda Keene and Barbara Thole, good friend Betty, as well as many other family and friends. Del is survived by her husband Donald Leroy Yanker; daughter Tina (Garry) Nelson; granddaughters Sherlyn (Chad) Weller, and Jennifer (Cody) Colkmire; great grandchildren Ashley, Jayden, Devin, Sarah, and Cipriana. Del is also survived by 8 siblings; Ardis Butera, Frank (Deb) Thole, Sylvester (Janie) Thole, Yvonne Colby, Frances Hamm, Kevin Thole, Elayne (Louie) Newman, and Jean (Roy) Kassel; sister in-laws Edith Nallick, and Debbie (Jeff) Black; dear friend Mary and her buddies at the Bierstube; her childhood friend Judy (Stich) Lister; Donna Lardy, her most "special" sister and devoted friend for many years; as well as many, many nieces, nephews, family, and friends. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at Regina Hospital in Hastings, MN, as well as our heartfelt gratitude to the staff and Dr. Thomas Williams at Abbott NW Hospital, Minneapolis, MN, for doing everything they could, and for caring for her every need.
