Hunter, Stephen G. Beloved husband, father, brother, friend and colleague. Born March 10, 1951- Died September 24, 2021. Steve was born in California but resided in Minnesota most of his life. He graduated from The Colorado College and continued his education at the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry where he earned his DDS degree. After several years as a general dentist, he returned to the University of Minnesota where he obtained a degree specializing in Endodontics and for 25 years he practiced in Lilydale, Minnesota. Admired by many, he lived life to the fullest and cherished the relationships he established through his many interests. Steve enjoyed book club, music, and carpentry; he was an accomplished cyclist, part of the Grand Performance-SPBRC and completed the Leadville Trail 100 mountain bike race 12 times; an avid skier; and a committed volunteer at the Hope Dental Clinic. Above all, Steve's family was his greatest source of pride and joy. He is survived by his wife Anne and daughters Sara (David) and Mari, grandchildren Sam and Lucy, brothers Dave, Rob, Jim, John, and their spouses, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by father Samuel, mother Thelma, and brother Tom. A memorial service to celebrate the life, love, and energy of Steve will be held on Saturday, October 23rd at 3:00pm at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 12th St and Nicollet Ave in Minneapolis. Free parking is available in the underground garage. COVID measures requiring masks and social distancing will be observed. The service will be available via livestream westminstermpls.online.church/ and a recording will be posted in the archives on the Westminster website. The family extends their sincerest gratitude for the compassion and care provided by the doctors and nurses at Regions Hospital as well as his friends on the 9/19 ride.
