Yesnes, Judith Diane (Finkelstein) age 89, passed away on Friday, September 24, 2021, at the Legacy Residential Care Home in Minnetonka. Judy was born to Hyme and Ruth Finkelstein on December 25, 1931, in Minneapolis. She was married to Fred Yesnes on March 9, 1952. They were blessed with three sons: Michael, Daniel, and Howard. Fred passed away in 1972. Judy was a devoted mother and grandmother. She loved hosting holidays and welcomed many to her table. Judy worked at the St. Louis Park Library for many years and was a member of the Minneapolis Institute of Art where she liked to do oil paintings. She was committed to her volunteer work with the Golden Valley Library Friends Club, Hadassah Women's Zionist Group, and the Sholom Home. Judy loved to garden and all things pertaining to nature - especially her time at the Yesnes cabin in central Minnesota with her family. She was an avid reader, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, listening to the music of the 40's, and watching classic movies. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hyme and Ruth Finkelstein; husband, Fred Yesnes; sister, Joyce Perlman; sister-in-law, Barbara Yesnes; brothers-in-law, Erwin Yesnes and Stephen Perlman; mother-in-law, Bessie Yesnes; father-in-law, Phil Yesnes; and great-nephew, Morgan Yesnes. She is survived by her children, Michael, Daniel (Linda), and Howard (Andrea); her three grandchildren, Elle Yesnes, Mykenna Yesnes, and Forrest Yesnes; sister- in-law, Marilyn Lingwall; nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
