Mott, Billy "Bill" King was born on September 18, 1929 in St. Paul MN to parents Chester A Mott and Ethel Elizabeth King Mott. Ethel married his step-father Aldolph Albert Harich on July 6, 1942. They gave Billy a little sister Andrea "Andi" Lee Harich, who married Bernard "Bernie" Nelson, and they made him an uncle 3 times: nieces Kathleen"Kat", and her son Kyle (Kelly); Susan (Mark), and their daughters Ariana (Victoria) and Mara; and Janet, also his god-daughter. Bill lived in 11 different residences on the North side of Minneapolis growing up, and was a proud graduate of North High in 1947. He earned a Certificate of Attainment in 1951 at the Minneapolis School of Art completing a 3 year course in Advertising Art. He went on to be an art instructor, and retired from the Bureau of Engraving in 1994. Married to his beloved Magdalena Estrella Mott, "Maggie" or "Tiny", until her passing December 1 2007, they met in Hawaii-her native home-where he served in the Air Force during the Korean War. Their longtime home was in Brooklyn Park; he died peacefully at 5am on September 15, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Society in New Hope. The Cremation Society of Minnesota is helping arrange military funeral honors at Fort Snelling. A portion of Bill and Maggie's ashes will return to Hawaii via family. Mahalo, Bill! Aloha for now.
