Belanger, Gerald "Jerry" Anthony age 90 of Plymouth passed away peacefully on Friday, September 3rd, 2021. Jerry was born on March 8th, 1931 in Minneapolis. He attended St. Lawrence, DeLaSalle High School, and Dunwoody College of Technology. Jerry worked for Hennepin County Public Works for 32 years where one of his charges was calling in the plow drivers in the middle of the night when it snowed. He was proud that in all his years he only called the wrong number once. Jerry is a Korean War veteran having been stationed in Japan. He received numerous medals but his point of pride was climbing Mount Fuji. He loved dogs, camping, church, and family. Jerry was a man of deep faith. Chances are he prayed for you daily. Survived by son John (Therese), daughters Mary (Mark) Graves, Kathleen (Mark) Gebert, Elizabeth (Patrick) McCoy, 12 grandchildren, sister Margaret Mary, many nieces and nephews, and "one of a kind" dog Lucy. Preceded in death by wife Betty, parents William and Leona, brother Bill, and sister Marie Theresa. A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a later date.
